Swamp

Client: SWAMP

London-based SWAMP, together with Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) brought the magic of Harry Potter to Grand Central Terminal in New York City to celebrate Back to Hogwarts - a beloved fan-led moment in Harry Potter canon on September 1st when students board the Hogwarts Express from platform 9 ¾ and return to school.

SWAMP were tasked with creating, producing and running a three-day Harry Potter themed experience inside the largest train station in the world - the iconic Grand Central Terminal. SWAMP faced myriad logistical challenges when creating an event from across the Atlantic, including contracting the venue, managing the set build, sourcing performers and holding overseas auditions, completing site visits and leading key health and safety meetings all from the SWAMP HQ in London. Swamp worked with WBD to incorporate multiple franchise partners into the experience, actors to guide and delight audiences, and the cast of the Broadway show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to dazzle with live performances, the show culminated in a final countdown for the departure of the fictional Hogwarts Express hosted by Bonnie Wright (known for playing Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film series) and TikTok content creator and Harry Potter superfan, Kierra Lewis Together with WBD, the SWAMP production team created a showstopping event bursting with shareable moments and a sprinkling of magic, generating hundreds of millions of media impressions and social media engagements.
