Samsung partnered with Skateboard GB after we proved that the skateboarding community could deliver their objectives to recruit young adults. The collaboration earned us the credibility we needed to win over this notoriously sceptical community and defined a clear role for Samsung and their flagship smartphone, the foldable Galaxy Z Flip5. We built the Flip Park experience to prove our commitment to skateboarders and show how the Galaxy Z Flip5 is the perfect device for capturing skateboarding content. Flip Park was launched by Sky Brown and the cream of British skating; over the course of 17 days we explored every facet of skate culture in the park’s immersive spaces. We built a new indoor skate park featuring dozens of Galaxy Z Flip5s to give every visitor the chance to try the device and shoot and share their own content. Girl Skate and North London Skate School provided skateboarding lessons for a new skate crowd. And a spectacular dancefloor held live gigs hosted by Rinse FM DJs and a booked-out skate fashion show in collaboration with Hypebeast. Flip Park exceeded all our objectives to drive awareness, footfall and interactions of the Galaxy Z Flip5.
