MENA Creator Hub Awards ceremony was a TIKTOK event organized to celebrate and award the next generation of inspiring creators who joined the inaugural program to create impactful videos around 2022’s theme of Climate Change. The event took place on 16th November 2022 at The Farm Al Barari (a sustainable and green venue). All the event's elements were sustainable starting with the green venue selection to the organic catering sourced from local home-grown farmers to the themed decoration and eco-friendly technical production. Egg cartons and milk crates that were sourced from local farms were used for decoration to dress up the venue – These materials transformed the venue into a great space to capture images and wow the guests. Furthermore, the winners' trophies, guests' giveaways as well as the engaging activities were all made from recycled, reclaimed and environmentally friendly materials. The event had zero waste from the food and production materials generated at the event.
MENA Creator Hub initiative aimed to identify talents and connect them with the right mentors to help build their skills to support and nurture the next generation of creators, all while raising awareness around causes and issues that affect the community.
TikTok MENA Creator Hub also aligned with TikTok’s global launch of the #ClimateAction programme in support of Cop27, which encouraged the community to join the climate conversation and take action that has a positive impact on the planet.
